Cleveland University Circle


University Circle is a neighborhood located on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio. It is best known for its world-class cultural, educational and medical institutions, including Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, Cleveland Orchestra, Lakeview Cemetery, and University Hospitals/Case Medical Center. The area is also referred to as 'The Circle' by locals. Encompassing approximately 550 acres (0.86 mi²), University Circle is bordered to the north by the Glenville neighborhood, to the south by the Buckeye-Shaker neighborhood, to the west and southwest by the neighborhoods of Hough and Fairfax (also known as Midtown) and to the east by the cities of East Cleveland and Cleveland Heights.[source]
