Grocon’s carbon neutral Pixel building was completed in July 2010 on the old Carlton Brewery site, and has been awarded the highest ever Green Star rating in Australia, with a perfect score of 100 from the Green Building Council, plus five innovation points. This makes Pixel the greenest building in Australia and it is now being rated by the international rating tools of the US and UK, LEED and BREEAM. Grocon CEO Daniel Grollo said Pixel would in time offset all of the carbon used in its construction and would generate energy back to the grid.
