Kilkenny is a city of about 26,000 in the 'Sunny South East' of Ireland. It lies just 75 miles southwest of Dublin. It is the capital of County Kilkenny. It is the smallest city in terms of population in the Republic of Ireland. The River Nore flows through the city splitting it in two. Most sights of interest lie on the west side of the river.
